Another Christmas Is Wrapped

We had a great time this Christmas. A long list of DVDVDs entered my life, including Cars, which I call, Cars GO FAST, and Kung Fu Panda. Not sure I am 100% on board with that one, now that Luke is taking Tae Kwon Do, which I have some moves of my own.
The best present was that my Grandpa is feeling better, so we had some cake, and maybe now, he can have some hair. I heard he had hair before, but I missed it. When I was bald, he wasn't, and vice versa. Hope we can both have hair, play drums and race cars around the living room of house number I don't know what.
We ALSO got to go Spider's store, which, does not, in fact, sell Spiders. That is because there is only 1, and he is OUR buddy, and he is priceless. They had comic books, and toys. We got to pick out whatever we wanted.
Spider is a nice guy, but I question HIS math skills. I slipped him a 20 and he gave me back, well, a 20. Hmmm....What kind of business plan is that?
AND we went to brunch and another shopkeeper with poor math skills gave mommy a free Bellini, which I thought was an expensive stroller, because we were with Uncle Spider. It's who you know, you know?
We got to see Nana, who thinks were are great, even when we are not being great, and use the pool at the hotel, and mommy had tea with her friend from HAHVAHD, at the tee-shirt store called the COOP, (which has no chickens...Boston has its own language. Don't ask. They'll explain Frappes & rotaries, which could take days).
We ALSO, also, got to meet my next cousin, or cousin's cousin, or something, named ETHAN, who is still baking. Somebody else to play with! Worth moving into a big boy bed to share the love.
Happy New Year. Love, Liam.

Liam: I A Pirate

Decided to forgo the trappings of convention and go as a pirate for Halloween. I can be Spiderman or Batman any time.
Luke had some specific thoughts on what I should be, but I like to buckle swash. You know?
I had a great time at the parade at school. Later, we went trick or treating, and were home by 7:30. Then, Mommy and I went out a little more, because I wanted to. She said I did. So I did.

Lilo and Stitches

While it was certainly not my 1st encounter with an ER doc, I got my first stitches out of the way this spring. Right before we went to Disney World for St. Patrick's Day. Huh? Oh. Spring break. I had a little run in with the slide at school. Teeth meet lip. The poor doctor thought I wanted to bite her as she stitched me up. Poor lady. I really did want to bite her. Felt better after a day or 2. Since I feeling really nap-ish for a few days, my buddy Pop Pop stayed in and watched basketball with me while Grandma, Luke, and the 'rental units went to Chef Mickey's. Later that week, I had my 1st haircut. I look sharp(er) and I got more stickers that a class of 3 year olds on Use the Potty Day. My favorite part of the trip was meeting and dancing with Jo Jo, and the Toy Story cast. We were almost asked to leave the Cinderella Castle. I guess they don't like basketball as much as Daddy and Pop Pop because I was dunking those royal chicken nuggets. Mommy said this is why we never get invited to castles at home.
Watch your step!!!

That's Mr.2 to You!

On July 11, I turned 2. How time flies! I've been slacking on my blogging. Frankly, since I was born, that Diablo Cody lady really took over the word. Luckily, now I can talk, so just call me. I'll tell you all about the My Betty Hun-gee Papapilla (I'll give non-preschool teachers a moment to Google), My Chugga Chugga Choo Choo, My Luke's Car Shooooooooes, and my DVDDVDs.
Had another well visit today. I am now rocking in at over 32 pounds. Remember that 5th percentile? Now that is all that is left. That's right. I said NINETY FIFTH percentile. Failure to thrive? Try "Failure to get out of my way". Mommy has to go and buy some lower fat milk now.
Have good day! See you at Wiggles World!!! Thanks Aunt Bobbie, Finely, Aunt Melissa, and The Uncles Michael for celebrating my birthday. Therese? You sure know the way to a toddler's heart. Bubbles, Elmo, and Color Colors. Wow. Happy summer.

Fun To Be One!

If you heard the strumming banjo on my street this summer, well, hug an audiologist, but thank my parents, Uncle Michael and Auntie Paula who made a rocking party for me! We had a cake shaped like a monkey habitat, BBQ in a crock pot, and all the pizza bagels and apple sauce you could ever want. Trust me. It is back to school time and I am still polishing off that apple sauce. Unsweetened. Hello? BIRTHDAY? LIVE IT UP!! There was also the appropriate amount of chicken because my Godfather and pagan Dog-Mother went back and made another batch when Mommy was in the shower. Good with a whisk, but lousy with a calculator.
We were joined by some of my day care buddies, and a few of Luke's as well, because when your brother has a party, you have a party, I suppose. We also greeted the way cool Zaid, some twins whose number I did not catch, Conor, Aaron, and our neighbors.
For a reprise, Frank Cassel is at Jammin' Java every Friday. My Irish eyes were smiling when I had the cake!
Hope we can celebrate your birthday, too.

My Brush With Greatness

On my 1st Mother's Day, we went to Sesame Place. Or as my mommy calls it, "A Land Without Time Outs." I got to meet Elmo, who is not really as full of himself as you might think for someone so self-referencial, and Big Bird. He. Is. HUGE! My Grandpa and Grandma came along, and the night before, I got extra hugs from my Godmother Bobbie, who almost got me walking! Maybe one more batch of homemade cookies...Daddy!! Off my blog!
Coming soon...metubes.com, at the end of the month.

Hoppy Easter!

We had a great time at Easter! First we went to church at St. Ann's, and then we went to brunch at St. Ronald's, because mommy gave up Super Sizing for Lent. What is blasphemy?
We had an egg hunt, which I supervised from my big red car, and Aunt Bobbie, my Godmother sent use fancy, but not too fancy clothes. My brother, Big, was not all about sitting for a picture, and clearly wanted my teething biscuit, but I know where they hid his peeps, so I'll have the last laugh. The Easter Bunny sent us 2 baskets. One with bubbles and books, and another with lots of red, white and blue baseball stuff. I guess he has another office in Boston, where I would think it would be pretty cold to hop around without pants on, but what do I know? Happy Easter to you!

Going to Geogetown

This spring I got strong like bull in my neck and head. I started rolling with the best of them, and graduated from PT at Good Beginnings. I still check in, because they miss me, but I am now an alum, which is nice.
My most recent adventures include a bunch of visits to new friends who try to get me to clap when they say things like "sweet potato" and "mommy" into a speaker, like it is karoke or something. They don't know that my vocabulary is actually loaded with words like "frozen waffle" and "you have a time out for kicking the dog" due to my environment, but I am guest there, so who am I to judge?
At Georgetown audiology, mommy made me wear a winter hat with ear flaps on a spring day, right after they put the special headphones in my ears. This made it very hard for me to win the game where I pull the wires out, which was a pain for a second, but then there were all these bubbles to look at. Mommy noticed that it always the doctoral student who blows the bubbles. She once again feels that perhaps she went to school for the wrong thing. More later, but if I don't smile when you say, sweet potato on the left, don't think it is because I am not hungry! Try again!

Race to the middle

My 6 month visit was this week. Guess what? I am average. Yay! Seriously, my weight has gone from the 5th percentile for my age to the 50th. For those of you keeping track, I am now 17 pounds even, which the Carter's size people call the 6-9 month range. If retailers don't know progress, who does? Such validation. Dr. Myers said I had abs, too, and that Mommy and Daddy need to get ready for weekends on the soccer field. Did you hear Mommy whisper "lacrosse"? I swear I did.
My PT for tortoise-collies, or whatever, is going well, and sometimes, I lean to the other side, just to mix things up a bit. I can roll from back to front, with lots of incentive, but when I get there, I can't decide what to do, so I usually call for help. Kinda like tortoise!
Hearing test next week. The Arlington PIE folks said I was a month ahead on my verbal skills, which my mom said is because I come from a long line of talkers. Ma Ma Ma (squeal) to you.

My 1st Christmas

I had a good Christmas, but a tiny fever on Christmas Eve, so I missed my first Christmas Mass. I heard seats were hard to come by, anyway, but I usually bring my own.
Grandma and Grandpa came down to see us, and we did a tour of Arlington Cemetary on the 24th. I was bundled up, but some of my fashion choices were questioned. I am bringing the Sherpa look back, and I don't care what anybody says about it.
All I wanted for Christmas was my 2 front teeth, but they have not yet arrived. Ouch! Soon, I'll have choppers I can sink into Paula's crab cakes, like everyone else.
Merry merry!

Vaya Con Dios

I had a wonderful day on October 21st. My godparents Bobbie and Michael stood by me as I was christened by Father Harak. It was a good time, but the traffic was a bear. Glad I wasn't driving. I may have cried, a lot, when they poured the water on my head, but I told my mommy, "That is not the end that needs cleaning right now!".
I got to wear the same gown that my daddy, brother, and Uncle Michael wore. They did not mention it to anyone-the hand me down thing. My aunt Nancy and cousins wore it too! It came from Ireland and my Nana bought it a long time ago. My Godmother bought me cute booties and a bib to make it my own though. Pieces of flair.
We went to a nice lunch in an intimate Irish place afterwards. I am used to eating right next to somebody, so I was fine. There was a big cake, too, and they sang Happy Christening to Me. Luke blew on it, which is really a habit now. He's 2. He'll learn. God Bless You too!
